The MDH Office of Tobacco Prevention and Control, in partnership with
the Association for Non-Smokers MN, invites you to attend a one-day
training focusing on the latest research on secondhand and thirdhand
smoke, a national perspective in state and local smoke-free air laws and
breakout sessions that include action steps communities and businesses
can take to increase either smoke-free or tobacco-free environments.
The cost for the conference is $15.
Participants will:
- learn about the latest science on secondhand and thirdhand smoke
- gain an understanding of Minnesota’s progress in protecting Minnesotans from
exposure to secondhand smoke,
- learn about local smoke-free policy and advocacy efforts and the tools needed for
successful local campaigns,
- hear from housing experts on adopting smoke-free housing policies,
- have the opportunity to connect with other state and local partners working on similar projects.
