Goals and Objectives

Conference Goals:

  • Share tools, templates and lessons learned that will enhance the ability of public health to respond to emergencies and future pandemics across Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin.
  • Build resiliency and improve emergency preparedness, response and recovery of state, local and tribal agencies.
  • Develop an understanding of the public health target capabilities and their impact on public health agencies, including grant duties and reporting.
  • Build upon lessons learned from the H1N1 pandemic.

Who Should Attend

Local public health and Tribal preparedness staff (2-3 per agency), Minnesota Department of Health staff, Healthcare system preparedness partners (1-2 per region); emergency managers; Homeland Security staff; regional nurse consultants and epidemiologists; and other preparedness consultants and staff.

Please note: Conference registration, meals and a one night stay at the Northland Inn are free for 2-3 attendees from each local public health and Tribal government agency and other invited preparedness staff.
