ECHO Minnesota (Emergency, Community and Health Outreach)
ECHO is a non-profit dedicated to ensuring that
nearly half a million non-English speaking Minnesotans are never barred from
emergency readiness or health and safety education due to linguistic or
cultural barriers. Using a variety of communication tools – including
ECHO TV, ECHO Phone, ECHO Web and ECHO Partner Relays – ECHO brings
life-saving information on over 50 health, safety and emergency preparedness
topics to limited-English speakers in 10 languages. During an
emergency, officials can use ECHO tools to quickly translate and distribute
information in multiple languages to affected limited-English speaking

MNTRAC (Minnesota
System for Tracking Resources, Alerts and Communication)
MNTRAC is a database-driven, password-protected web
application designed to track bed capacity and resources from all hospitals
within the state to support surge capacity needs. Hospital bed diversion
status, emergency event planning, emergency communication and alert
notifications are supported in real time.
MN.TRAIN Learning Management System
MN.TRAIN (Minnesota Trainingfinder Real-time
Affiliated Integrated Network) is a password-protected, web-based learning
management system designed for the continuing education of professionals who
protect the public’s health. Through MN.TRAIN, users/learners have access to
over 750 public health courses in over 40 subject areas. MN.TRAIN is a
valuable tool for the management of public health workforce development. A
computer hooked up to MN.TRAIN will be available with the display.
Minnesota Poison Control System
The Minnesota Poison Control System is a
collaboration between the Hennepin Regional Poison Center (HRPC) and the
Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). The Poison Center, located in
Hennepin County Medical Center, is nationally accredited by the American Association
of Poison Control Centers. HRPC serves all citizens and health care providers throughout
Minnesota at no direct cost. The HRPC
provides medical treatment recommendations and poison information 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year, Poison Help Line 800-222-1222.
Minnesota Responds Medical Reserve Corps
Minnesota Responds is a partnership that integrates
local, regional and statewide volunteer programs to assist the public health
and healthcare systems during a disaster. Whether you are licensed or
certified in a health field, active or retired, or a person with an interest
in assisting in a health response, you can register on this site
Strategic National Stockpile
The SNS is a national repository of supplies that
include: antibiotics, chemical antidotes, antitoxins, life-support
medications, IV administration, airway maintenance supplies, and
medical/surgical items managed by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC). The SNS is designed to supplement and re-supply
state and local public health agencies in the event of a national emergency
anywhere and at anytime within the U.S. or its territories.
University of Minnesota
CPHP (Center for Public Health Preparedness)
CPHP is a program designed to train state and local
public health workers and others to prepare for and respond to terrorism
incidents, infectious disease outbreaks and other emergent public health
threats. CPHP works collaboratively with state and local departments of
health and has a primary service area of Minnesota, North Dakota and
Wisconsin. CPHP is funded in part through a grant from CDC.
