The Odyssey Group has planned and managed NARMH’s annual conference.
With conference sites located around the United States, including Hawaii
and Alaska, we’ve learned how to work with a variety of personalities
and audiences and have had successful conferences year after year.
NARMH’s conference is a four day event which includes pre-conference
workshops. We are involved in every aspect of the conference from site
selection, online abstract submission, presenter contracts to
solicitation of sponsors and exhibitors. We also assist in grant writing
to obtain grant funding for the conference as well as awarding
scholarships to participants. The marketing materials include the call
for abstracts, registration brochure, conference program, conference
website and other collateral materials as needed. The NARMH conference
program consists of plenary sessions each day as well as breakout
sessions and an event in the evening for participants’ entertainment.
Each year our duties involve wrapping up the previous year’s conference,
working on the current conference and planning the next two year’s
conferences. The conference participants come from the U.S., Canada as
well as foreign countries.

2008; Kansas City, MO – 2007; San Antonio, Texas – 2006; Honolulu, HI –
2005; Boulder, CO – 2004; Orlando, FL – 2003; Santa Fe, NM – 2002;
Wilmington, NC – 2001; Portland, OR – 2000; Bloomington, MN – 1999;
Portland, ME – 1998. We are currently in the planning stages for the
following conferences: Anchorage, AK – 2012; Dubuque, IA – 2011.
