The Central Region Trauma Advisory Committee (CENTRAC) was formed to guide trauma care to critically injured patients in central Minnesota and to establish and promote a regional system of trauma care services within Central Minnesota. This system provides timely and appropriate delivery of optimal trauma medical treatment for people with acute traumatic injury, and recognizes the change in methods and environment for providing optimal trauma care throughout the region. One goal is to develop procedures to handle types and volumes of trauma patients that may exceed regional capabilities, taking into consideration resources available in other regions and adjacent states. Membership includes hospitals, EMS and the public interested in trauma care. We collaborate with partners towards injury prevention, coordinate educational opportunities, and collaborate with health system preparedness programs.

Minnesota Responds MRC is a partnership that integrates local, regional, and statewide volunteer programs to assist our public health and healthcare systems during a disaster. It is part of a national initiative to coordinate and mobilize health volunteers to respond to emergencies. Central Minnesota Responds MRC has over 1,100 registered volunteers and geographically includes 14 counties in Central Minnesota: Benton, Cass, Chisago, Crow Wing, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena, and Wright.

The Minnesota Department of Health Immunization Program provides guidance and support to local public health agencies and providers of immunizations in Minnesota. Resources include information on proper storage and handling of vaccines, vaccine administration, and vaccine safety information. Programs such as MnVFC (Minnesota Vaccines for Children) provide immunizations to those who can’t afford them.
