STATE COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING

Come see Minnesota’s public health partnership in action! The SCHSAC will meet on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Join us for the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee (SCHSAC) meeting. The SCHSAC provides much-needed local perspectives on public health policy issues to the Commissioner of Health. As elected local officials and key local public health professionals, its members play important roles in shaping public health policy in Minnesota.

COMMUNITY HEALTH AWARDS AND RECEPTION

Recognition of the accomplishments of local public health staff and county commissioners is a tradition of the annual conference. Commissioner of Health, Dr. Sanne Magnan will present these unique and coveted awards. This year’s awards ceremony and reception will be held on Wednesday, October 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This year, the awards presented will be:

• Award for Outstanding Dedication to Local Public Health
• Commissioner’s Award for Distinguished Service in Community Health Services
• Jack Korlath Partnership Award
• Jim Parker Leadership Award
• Community Health Services Certificates of Recognition

A celebration reception will immediately follow the awards ceremony.
